Every year new designer’s emerge who change the way we dress, whether we are aware of it or not – colors, shapes, trends and fabric technology mean fashion is constantly evolving and with this evolution we see a shift in the way we understand and express ourselves. PH5 designers Wei Lin and Mijia Zhang are known for their colorful, whimsical collections which flatter the female form with clever cuts, body skimming designs and gentle knit fabrics. Both designers got their start in the industry in different ways, Zhang having graduated from Parsons, and Lin picking up skills throughout her childhood as the daughter of a knitwear manufacturer. The duo use real women as models in their runway shows, using their collections are an opportunity to connect women and are challenging an outdated industry leading by example.
Based in New York, Nina Tiari is a stylist-come-fashion-designer, who debuted her label in 2017. She creates unapologetically feminine pieces, using print, lace, starch cotton and ruffles to offer women the chance to play dress up’s in a grown up way. Her designers are fairy-tale like, with feathers, pastel details and unexpected shapes – a glimpse into the world of Nina Tiari provides a dreamy kaleidoscope of colour, imagination and decadence.
Milan based label, Attico, is everything one would expect from a European designer. Luxurious, jewel toned, soft and sensual. The labels signature look are silk robes and kimono’s, with street style stars flocking in droves towards this new style of dressing – effortless, sexy, luxurious pj dressing at its best.
