4 Post-Christmas Shopping Tips

4 Post-Christmas Shopping Tips

Maybe you got some gift cards as presents, maybe you have some returns to make, or maybe you just love a good sale. If that’s the case, December 26 is one shopping day you won't want to miss. Next to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this may be one of the biggest sale days of the year. And what better way to keep celebrating the holidays than by shopping!

To help you get the most for your money, we have compiled a list of tip, tricks, and stores to check out!

  1. Make Your Exchanges First – When you go to the mall or wherever you shop, get rid of what you already are going in with. Return what didn’t fit and explore those stores first! The return lines can be very long on the 26th, but it is nothing compared to any of those lines on Black Friday.

  1. Set a Limit – It’s so easy to get caught up in the thrill of the sale, but remember it is the end of the year so there are a lot of other costs too. Go in knowing what you can spend. A personal tip is to take out cash beforehand, so you are aware of how much you are spending. This way you can make sure that you get the items you know you will use and wear! Make your closet proud that day, and don’t add things you know you will never wear just because they were cheap.

  1. Check Out the Stores You Know Have Good Sales - Certain stores are known for having great post-Christmas sales every year. Do your research to see if any of your favorites tend to participate. Stores like Kate Spade and Banana Republic are known for having some of their best deals of the year right after the holidays. Plus, Old Navy is already listing their online After Christmas Sales. While we don’t know specifics yet, stores like Target, Amazon, and Macy’s typically have good sales, too!

  1. Check Out the DAAMN! App - Maybe you are already a veteran DAAMN! user, but if you are new, we have a great feature on our app. We have a page that compiles all the great trendy items on sale at our favorite stores. This way you don’t have search all over a bunch of different websites. Instead, they are all together, and you will already know they are DAAMN! verified!

We hope that you now have some strategies to tackle the last sale of the year! Happy holidays and happy shopping!
