Popcorn: It's Not Just for Eating!

Popcorn: It's Not Just for Eating!

We have talked about comfort and fashion this season, and the 2 are really teaming up. That trend is showing no signs of slowing down. Teddy jackets are taking over the stores and the streets, and now there is a new fuzzy outwear item grabbing attention.

The popcorn sweater is being sold in places from Urban Outfitters and Free People to Target and J. Crew. These sweaters come in all styles of cardigans and pullovers, but just like the teddy jackets, it is all about the texture. They have a bumpy and fuzzy material that makes them something that stands out from a typical sweater but feels just as cozy as your other classic sweaters. Sometimes the popcorn style is very pronounced and other times it is subtler and fuzzy-looking. Style according to your own personal preference.

As mentioned, popcorn sweaters are being sold in countless stores, making them versatile for any style tribe. Here are a few styling ideas:

Boho Comfy - If your go-to style is somewhat bohemian and natural, popcorn sweaters are quite easy to add to your wardrobe. Adding one on top of a corduroy skirt is both stylish and perfect for the colder seasons. Another look would be to pair a popcorn cardigan on top of a patterned dress with a pair of tights and booties.

Classic Prep - Maybe you prefer a more classic look but want to add some flair to it. Popcorn sweaters can come in classic cable knit sweater styles, like the ones found at J. Crew. In this style, you could rock so sleek straight leg pants and a button-down top with a pullover popcorn sweater on top.

Chic Street - Obviously street style is quite popular, especially because of social media. If this is more of your style, you can still add these sweaters to your look. We suggest a pair of black faux leather leggings (or regular black leggings) with any pair of tall boots, and then an oversized pullover popcorn sweater. You can slightly tuck in the sweater or let it hang naturally. Either way, this is one of those looks that comes out super put-together but is also quite wearable at the same time.

Of course, there are tons of more ways to rock these sweaters! If you have one be sure to tag us in your pictures to let us know how you like to pull them off!
