We recently watched the People’s Choice Awards, which means we are feeling extra thankful. Thankful for all the fashion inspo from the show, but most importantly, thankful for this year’s Fashion Icon recipient, Victoria Beckham.
Posh has been gracing the red carpets with her style since the beginning of the Spice Girls in 1994. So to honor her impact on the fashion world, we are going to list her top four style contributions.
The Pout - While this is not a piece of clothing, it is the ultimate accessory. Her facial expressions ooze confidence, and here at DAAMN! That is our favorite addition to any outfit. Victoria takes every look to the next level with her iconic pout. This is probably the most important part of the Posh Spice look.
The LBD - When you think of Posh style, your first thought is probably a little black dress. In the more than two decades that Victoria has been in the limelight, she has always made us value the importance of a good LBD.
Sleek will Always Be Chic - Victoria knows how to stay on top of the trends, but she does this in a classic way. Her look is always clean and put together, which is something that will never go out of style. She tends to stick mostly to solid colors, promoting the sleek look even more. She finds the perfect balance between styles on trend with perfectly polished timeless looks. Very rarely will you see here giving off any effortless looks. Victoria clearly radiates fashion with all her choices.
No Shame in Good Shoe Game - One lesson that Beckham has taught us is that all outfits come together with the perfect pair of shoes. From wedges to stilettos to loafers, her shoe game is never lacking. She appreciates a tasteful pop of color, and a great way to do that is through shoes. A prime example is the outfit that she wore on the red carpet for the awards. She wore an all-white suit (from her own line, might I add) with some skyscraper black stilettos. Just as we would expect, it was the perfect look for her, and the shoes added perfectly to the ensemble without stealing all the attention of the full look.
Dear Victoria, thank you so much for gracing us with top fashion trends and inspiration since 1994. You have given a lot to appreciate, and we expect a whole lot more in years to come! Stay posh!
